This literally means that students from BC and MBC score well than the Forward Community Counterparts. This also means that the students from the so called forward community are able to get LESS THAN 10 percent of seats available......
- That is if 430 seats are available forward community gets 38
- If 100 seats are available Forward Community will get 9 seats (38*100/430)
- If 81 seats are available Forward Community will get 8 seats (38*85/430)
- So WHEN 100 seats are available WITHOUT RESERVATION FOrward Community will get 9 seats
- WITH 18 % reservation for SC and 1 % reservation for ST Forward Community is getting 8 seats
- That means, reservation is giving JUST ONE OUT OF THE 100 Seats from Forward Community to the SC and ST

We periyar lovers used to tell people that actually these BRAHMINS s are not intelligent as you think. They cheated all these years by memorising a few thousand slokas, that too from an UNSPOKEN language! So it is proved again in the land of Periyar and Kamarajar.
So all Indian states should follow Tamilnadu's 69% reservation policy so that the above figures emerges in your state and central institutions. No time frame!LOL! Once this level achieved they will be in the position to fight for their 8% to 15% wrt their population. Then we say let us abolish the whole concept of reservation so that they will get only 5% or so! Atleast Jews has got their Israel. Where these people go? But they insulted us a lot. Just check the percentage of Tamil FCs in IIT/IIM or places where merit has a higher say... and you will find the Dravidians nowhere in sight.

Dude.....The seats list that u posted is based on 69% of reservation as u said.Also due to these reservations, seats are available to the SC's, ST's, BC's, OBC's at lower scores than for the Forward Community.With lower scores they have a better access to the colleges than the FC's who gotta scores very high scores to get any admission to colleges or have to pay more to get there.U guys not only pay less as admission fees but also score low scores but still get admissions.

Some reserved category students are good and are able to clear entrance exams without aany help from quotas. the fact of the matter is that such reserved category students who are smart enought to score well, get seats from the open (general) category. the reservation is for those EXTRA reserved category students who NEED the crutches of a quota to help them get through the exams. that explains the large number of sc/st/obc student population clearing the entrance.

And fyi Tamil Nadu has the lowest ratio of (employable engineers/total no of engineers) Surely reservation has been a huge success in getting every idiot an engineering seat! Protest against reservations are taking place most of the place atleast till today and likely to be long lasting. But, what I have noticed personally is that when most of the people are against reservation a huge group among them is against reserved categories and this can be noticed even at premier institutes as IITs of IIMs. The huge group who is protesting saying ‘they need equality for all and no reservation’ doesn’t hesitate to establish their supremacy of caste by birth. Most of the time I supported the move against reservation even when I am an OBC candidate by birth (but I have always been a general category candidate in all admission criteria, always stood among top few of my class even at IIT home exams.). I have analyzed a long protest against reservation and my recent evaluation is that general people undermine the capabilities of OBCs/ST/STs. Therefore, if one applies through reservation but qualifies general criteria of eligibility, he/she should not be recognized as OBC/ST/STs or any other reserved categogy (If it happens, it is also injustice to reserved categories and against merit). Thus those OBCs/ST/STs who will be among general category people by their merits can atleast protest the humiliation of other reserved categories; else this gap of community feelings will be enhanced and may destroy even the premier institutes. Proposed way is my personal view and seems to be very effective to minimize any future caste base rivals in premier institutes like IITs, IIScs, Medical institutes or IIMs.

Statistician can be a lier. It would have been nice, if you could have the highest and lowest mark in each and every category who got the admission, it would have been fairer.
Further, if the bc/mbc are that competitive as per ur statistics, reservation has to be obolished or these creamy layer must be removed from the benefit of reservation.
hi i a kamma naidu (naicker) from coimbatore which is classified as fc..coimbatore has become so industrious because of kamma naidus (psg,cit and gct(donated))only...but we had no bad thoughts against any caste or didnt neglected anyone..today coimbatore has telugu, tamil,kannada,malayalee people living in harmony (all groups are large)...
QOUTA is for people who do not have access to good education, and not for castes which were oppressed in the past. Brahmin children who do not have good access to education should be helped..so as any people of any caste

Check the IIT Rank List AFTER it was mandatory to release the marks also
We see a lot of OBCs over there (and many students in OC who are creamy layer BC)

When Marks were not released by IIT - Only FCs could enter
When marks have to be released, every caste enters
