Attn; All Anti Reservationists, YFE and LP. What will be your stand in this situation

A person called Sarveshkumar Iyer died in AIIMS cause the pro reservation activists stoped treatment abruptly and started a strike on the ouster of the minister Dr Anbumani Ramdass. Because of this 100 PILs are filed in SUPREME COURT and Mr Arun Jaitly is apearing for all those petitioners. He said one priceless Brahmin Soul passed away due to NEGLIGENCE of DUTIES by the STRIKING SELFISH MEDICOS. HE also condemed the DOCs for not giving any 24 hrs STRIKE CALL Notice and hence they should be sent home immdtly. Dr. venugopal Rao has also condemed the doctors and warned them severe consequences for destroying the image of AIIMS in the eyes of the general Public. The media from BBC to CNN have stationed their broadcasting wans to cover this landmark case on Human Equality in India. The Judge has reserved his ruling ...

My dear friend perhaps you need to analyse this even in two steps.

Firstly, if you ask me if what the medicos did is right or not, I would say that what they did is definitely not right. They shouldn't have resorted to strike as it is one of the essential services and it deals with life. I certainly feel ashamed of this act and not just me but almost all the anti-reservationist and the doctors should feel ashamed of it.

The second point however is whether the reservation is right or not. Merely because the medicos due to their negligence killed a life doesn't mean that their voice itself is absurd. Extremists used violence and terrorist attack to free that nation from the Brits but does that mean that the Independence movement itself is not correct. Analyse things in this fashion.

I tried replying to several of ur blogs but somehow my reply did not get published.

I time and again state that the u and the other people are either intended to prove or brainwashed to believe that OBCs were deprived of basic privilleges and the reason for not-so-good condition of their standard of living is purely because of the so called upper castes.

But the fact is that those who were deprived were the SCs/STs and it was OBCs who themselves turned their back to education to pursue other interests like business etc. They had all basic privilleges. In fact they themselves were among those who deprived the privilleges of SCs/STs.

I do not why who were a party to the crime, along with OCs, in depriving the SCs of the basic privilleges today say that it is OCs alone who were the culprits and that OBCs were victims. The reason perhaps is quite obvious but still a bit too strange.

I firmly believe that SCs/STs should be given support since their were victimised and are continued to be victimised even today in some parts of the country. But if you ask me whether such a support should go to the OBCs then I would say yes but not at the cost of the others.

Driver pleads to them to give the way, then yells at them and goondas laugh..they want to throw out half of the people who paid money for ticket from the train for social justice ofcourse.. Train runs them over, there was no way to stop the train except derailing it..goondas die and Chella writes in blog next day that

racist people kill dalits..

Hail hitler, hail Chella(I know you do not have guts to publish this)

Really, I proud of the medicos.... One Sarvesh Kumar may have died today. But If the reservation comes through several thousands, especially the poor will be at the mercy of 'Reserved quota' doctors who will be totally unqualified to be a doctor. The so called doctors will ruin the lifes of hundreds of thousands of people. So it is indeed unfortunate that someone dide, but in the larger picture the doctors were saving hundreds of thousands of lives.

@ Aditya...

Yours is rubbish. This mindset shouldchange. come to Tamilnadu one of the best medical tourism state in India which is running 69% Quota system. What a fool you are. Reservation is for admission only and not for passing out. Some BRA communities are speaking venom in the name quota and i say they are simply cheated people in the name of knowledge .. quoating an unspoken language.. full of shits... like your comment

May be unusually, I would this time want to comment on what Aditya said.

Aditya,

See in ur view point Sarvesh Kumar's death might be a sacrifice, but, just imagine how you would've felt if the life of some one very close to you is at stake and proper medical attention is not available. Death, can be glorified or seen in any manner as long as it is some one else. But, when it comes closer to us or our loved ones its always tragic.

May be, I am not saying that protest itself was wrong. But why couldn't have the medicos resorted to the way the IITians resorted to.

Dear Chella, U would perhpas do well to read 'Falling over Backwards' by Arun Shourie before pronouncing judgements on it. In the book, he clearly describes how people in TamilNadu are identified by their caste in public life, thanks to this reservation policy. I firmly beleive that TamilNadu's developmet is DESPITE reservations, rather than because of it. I belive and it is perhaps generally accepted that Tamils are very intelligent people, irrespective of caste creed or colour. I am again emphasisng, it is not only the fabled TamBram Iyers that I am referring to, but the whole Tamil speaking people.
If all the potential of Tamils was harnessed, it would be one of the greatest places in the world. But thanks to the reservation policy and petty caste politics, several Tamils be they Brahmins or Non-Brahmins, left TamilNadu because they felt strangulated and that their work was judged more on caste than anything else. U remove the Tamils from California and the silicon valley will collapse. Remove the Tamils from Bangalore and Indian IT industry will collapse. Just imagine what TamilNadu could have happened to TamilNadu had all these bright young Tamils remained in TamilNadu. So in my opinion the state in TamilNadu is a total failure and it is doing well because of the people. The politicians have destroyed Tamil Nadu and it is a case of a great under acheiver.

Total rubbish! What is the place, district in Tamilnadu which is more advanced in education, percapita income, medical institutions, engineering institutions, job oppurtunity..etc etc without much help from government support ? It is my Coimbatore Kongu Region that consist Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode belt. We have done it by collective effort unlike some sillicon valley brilliance! What happened to the start ups like "exodus"?. They were at the stock boom time and hence those individual efforts born fruit. But what about Tirupur... without this single city Tamilnadu unemployment would have gone uncontrolable. Still send someone to our region and he will be absorbed in weeks time in decent job. So pls consider the larger socio economic scene and macro factors than a few TAMBRAM brilliances. We are also still happy about those ppl but we pay more attention to millions of jobs to a stock market millionair !

Dear Mr.Chella, Please open Ur eyes. What are U talking???? Try telling me that the politics and social scenario in TamilNadu is excellent. Its perhaps the dirtiest brand of politics one can get to see. And Ur proud of this.
Well for starters, Tamilians have won more Nobel prizes in science than the whole of India put to-gether and guess what, nether of them was living in TamilNadu.
One was Sir. C.V. Raman, who lived in Bangalore and the other was Subramanyam Chandrashekhar, who was a US citizen. Both of them have won the Nobel prize for Physics. What do U have to say about this. U can go on ignoring the facts, but U seem to have the attitude of an ostrich.
True, there are a lot of jobs in Tirupur, but I beleive that Tamils are capable of doing a lot more scientifically advanced jobs. True people there may be happy, but I beleive that Tamils ought to be world-beaters. Not just a few rich exporters and happy workers. I am talking of being on the cutting edge of world science, of heralding tomorrow. Here is the difference in perspective. Unfortunately as long as people like urself and dirty politicians continue to advocate devisive, retrogressive ,caste based policies this is not going to happen. The greatest beneficiaries of Ur views are places like the US, Singapore, and other places where ability and not caste is respected. The success of the Tamil diaspora is just testament to this. I just hope U will open Ur eyes and see.

Also Chella, please learn about things before U talk. U say Stalk Markets and stuff. Infosys was on the verge of being under subscribed and the Underwriters had to save it. If U don’t understand what it means, it means they were heading for trouble and nobody was giving any money to them. Please learn about issues before U talk. With all due regard to Tirupur and Ur Kongu belt, please tell me how many people are given employment and how big is the industry??? Companies like Infosys and other IT giants in India and abroad are mult-BILLION dollar corporations providing employment to lakhs of people and really high-quality jobs, which are very well paying. Please tell me how many such high paying jobs are there in the ‘Koungu’ belt??? What is worse is that U seem to be saying u don’t want the kind of development that things like IT and really intelligent people can bring!!!!WOW.!!!! How many Presidents/ Prime-Ministers/Heads of States and Businessmen have visited ‘Kongu’????? What is the scale of investment there??? Ur own Chief Minister, Kalaignar Karunanidhi, the great anti-Brahmin leader, and his nephew Dayanidhi Maran(Of course I have great respect for the Marans, for what they have achieved through SUN TV) , espousing the cause of the ‘oppressed’ came to Infosys and Bangalore with a begging bowl, if I may remind U. So much for the ‘development’. True Tirupur and the people there are doing a good job, but its not a patch on what could have been done and what people have done outside TamilNadu.

Also, by the way another topic for Ur next article. The two Nobel prize winning Physists that I had mentioned, are ur beloved IYERS. So U can write Ur next article titled!!!!!
NOBEL COMMITTEE EXPOSED!!!!---HOW THE IYERS HAVE HIJACKED THE NOBEL PRIZE AND OPPRESSED THE DESERVING DALITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May god help…. At least learn about the things U write about and please don’t come up with something like Ur previous articles. It is a great insult to Tamil intelligence, since U claim to be representing it.

viswanathan, aditya and others:

There are some people who never want to work hard and get things easily. I am in my 12th standard, and I know that better than anyone else. There are lot of "backward class" people in my class, who perform pathetically bad but I know they can easily become doctors. chella won't have an answer for people like us.

Obvious answer is - those classmates of mine don't want to work hard and are happy about getting relatively too easy.

If your cribbing about some small % of reservation in north, its 70 % in tamil nadu. 7 out of 10 seats are legally prohibited for one caste - brahmins. SC/ST seats don't even get filled fully in many colleges in tamil nadu. I am not kidding here.

If people lack that much common sense and support this kind of discrimination, it is not because they dont know its wrong. Its because they dont want to accept that. We can teach people who dont know, but not those who are acting.

chella - for all the comments that you are NOT publishing, I am happy that something pricks you

Osai Chella said...

got bored of answering POOR BRAHMIN arguement. even if no reservation they may also face the same difficulty from rich brahmins with adequate infrastructure. So why dont thery fight for THEIR RESERVATION!!? You know merit is favouring you now and hence want to abort the whole process that has brough many BC and SC lawyers, doctors and engineers. Didnt they passed the exams to qualify as Doctors and lawyers. earlier you parrot class with less intelligence occupied all these plum jobs by somehow! now you cry foul when you are no more a major force in politics, education, law, engineering and manufacturing. soon your IT domination will also end and you are already out of Temples. Why dont you support merit based appointment in Tirumala temple archakas!? BEtter do that or go and occupy that post instead of preaching to us. we are not dull heads anyway.
