Another SHOCKING data from TamilNadu Medical Admissions

1) What is the average marks/grades of reserved and gen categ students(in college ) in TamilNadu ??
2)What are the drop out rates ??
3) Have these numbers changed over the years?

In 1996, the cut off (MBBS Admission ) was

OC - 294
BC - 289
MBC - 283
SC - 269

In 2005, the cut off was

OC - 297
BC - 295
MBC - 294
SC - 291

FC = 99% SC = 97%
.

Then how come some ppl are saying 50% marks by SC etc in IIT or MBBS. Something wrong in the entire system in North Indian Education system or the Quota implementation. Please someone come do some research than arguing against Tamilnadu's Reservation Policies.

MY STRONG ARGUMENT IS IMPLEMENT RESERVATION IMMEDIATELY TO IMPROVE THE OVERALL STANDARDS OF EDUCATION IN INDIA.

So these idiots/racists crying for IIT case, preparatory classes, quota students merit etc should know or learn from Tamilnadu Experience of social empowering with Reservation.

What are the drop out rates ??
Was 5 percent in MBBS some 20 years ago
From 2000 batch, the drop out is ZERO

Have these numbers changed over the years?
Yes... The drop out will be Zero after ONE GENERATION of Reservations for two reasons
1. The parents will be able to guide the children in a proper way
2. When the teachers are not racists or fanatics, there will be no targeting of children from weaker sections and they will be encouraged.

On the other hands, when you have apartheid nepotistic as teachers, they will give the toughest assignments to SC/OBC students and make them fail.

Does it mean that all the forward caste students should not be given an opportunity to educate themselves and shelve their dreams of becoming a doctor or engineer etc. just because injustice has been done till 200 yrs ago. You will also have to keep in mind that many forward caste students do not show interest in further continuing their education in TN and move out to other places. The figures you have published are dubious. Your voice that Reservations should be implemented at the earliest is baseless. Do you know the stiff competition that prevails in India. Even a 0.1 % does make lot of difference. If i were to go by your figures, then i presume that the overall standard of the SC's ST's and OBC's then why do we need reservations at all. They might create competition in the General Quota too thus denying a seat to other student. I my opinion everyone(students) are equal and i would not blabber that a FC student is brilliant than a Reserved Category Student. This is all baseless. These caste System prevails in India only becuase of these dirty politics who would like to divide India. Many people do not understand this basic logic

1) NOW YOU ALL ACCEPT THAT SCs &OBCs CAN STUDY AS GOOD US FCs. may the first confession atlast in this 21st century.

2) wait till i expose these ppl when i write boldly about CREAMY LAYER with the issues of poor BRAHMINS?

3) IF some ppl came openly talking on FC poor we would have listened a lot but these idiots started speaking as if they are INDIA? Youth FOR Equality etc. I will skin these pple as if they are a cat (in mean in all nine ways!)

Dear Chella.

1) Can you tell us where you procured these statistics from?

2) What does "FC = 99% SC = 97%" in bold green mean? Please explain.
-If I average out the 1996 and the 2005 statistics you have presented (assuming 300 as the maximum marks each year), I get 98.5 for OC (I am also assuming OC=FC) and 93.3 for SC.

3) I don't know if you are making a personal remark, or concluding something from the statistics when you say "MY STRONG ARGUMENT IS IMPLEMENT RESERVATION IMMEDIATELY TO IMPROVE THE OVERALL STANDARDS OF EDUCATION IN INDIA."??

Chella,
Your comments
"IF some ppl came openly talking on FC poor we would have listened a lot but these idiots started speaking as if they are INDIA? Youth FOR Equality etc. I will skin these pple as if they are a cat (in mean in all nine ways!) " I understand that you are still talking of some racial fundamentalists who do not understand the minimum values of life. We should be striving to take our Country to higher verticals and not fighthing over one another for some remarks made by some people. Do you think that we still need these divide and rule policy. Indians always think alike. This very fundamental (Unity in Diversity) should exist else we'll be back to square one. Earlier Moghuls and then English. It took us nearly 700 yrs to come out free.

Good now Chella is here..Dear Chella..says that

1. Just like all wealthy 4th generation quota users are balantly doing crime in TN, it should be done elsewhere.

2. Just like TN is most caste ridden society in India due to complete politicisation of reservation, it should be everywhere.

3. Just like Tamil brahmins are cleansed up in TN, it should be done everywhere. At Tamil Nadu's Ranganathaswamy Temple, a priest's monthly salary isRs 300 (Census Department studies) and a daily allowance of onemeasure of rice. The government staff at the same temple receive Rs2,500 plus per month. But these facts have not modified the priests' reputation as 'haves' and as 'exploiters.'

No creamy layer, no removal of a single caste from quota in TN, 95% of chettiyar community (wealthiest in TN) has quota..so have castes of maran and karunanidhi(they are infact MBC's ..most backward)..

Good going Chella, only 5000 years back you could have gone away with such crimes, not now..keep tryin

Excellent!
I appreciate your efforts.

If all the statistics that you have given are true, then here are my questions.

1) Can we have some more statistics. How many of the reserved category admissions went to the real needy (those who were subject to discrimination / below poverty line / no background of education in their family) ?

2) As you say that the reserved category students are almost on par with the unreserved category students, doesent it mean that reservation is redundant now and it should be completely scrapped in TN !

3) If reservations have really improved living conditions for many many. And now the conditions are not the same as they were in 1931 / 1950 / 1990. Isnt it time for the government to review its policies. Review doesnt mean 0% reservation. But, if the reservation has worked the percentage of reserved seats should decrease ! A phased removal of reservation and not phased increase in reservations !!!

all I can say is haha... a total racist... I have a lot of Tam FC and BC frends n they wud all agree that most of the FCs in TN have migrated... I am postin this as anonymous coz.. I don't debate with racists...

and I am pretty sure that you wouldn't publish my previous post... :)

talks about the standard of education in TN... every tom dick n harry gets 297/300

The best thing for the upliftment of the OBC's (The so called socially bacward people. I donot include SC/ST here for obvious reasons because these people are the real downtrodden) is have 75% reservation of them so that none of the FC's would ever dream of becoming a doctor / engineer or even get into a elite institution

OC - 297
BC - 295
MBC - 294
SC - 291

If the cut off for reserved candidates is in the range of 291-295, then why do we need reservations at all? Does the author understand the cut throat competition that exists in India for each seat? If it is for representation of each and every caste, then even in open competition they could come up.

Went through your entire article its really a good work, continue doing the same. Such statistics should be published more often.

The Bramhins formula to oppose reservations

CASE 1: If SC/ST/OBC marks less than so called UPPER CASTE PPL then cry for merit.

CASE 2: If SC/ST/OBC marks equal to so called UPPER CASTE PPL then say why do we need reservation.

@ stupid akshay
Your formula of reservation:
1)If OCs say "merit is compromised", then u show bogus details of cutoffs.

2) IF OCs say cutoffs of them and reserved categories are same, then you say reserved category is suferring!!
funny, isn't it? :))

"A person with 6 out of 100 gets an admission to BIT,Mesra.."

If OB/SC/ST candidates are as good as FC candidates and they can score that great 295 and above , why the he** you need reservation???
How illogical? Its cowardice when you can do something yourself but seeking help (reservation) ..
Truth is hard to accept..

I think they should atleast bring down the reservation %..
